Other member libraries include the Broome County Public Library (Binghamton), Johnson City, Vestal, Norwich, Oneonta, Sidney, and the other public libraries in Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Otsego counties. |

Mission StatementTo provide materials in varied formats, information from technological and traditional sources, and services from trained and qualified employees for library users of all ages for their recreations, educational and lifelong learning needs. As we work to accomplish this mission we vow to strive to uphold the rights of all people of all ages under the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights and the guidelines of the library Bill of Rights adopted by the American Library Association Council of January 23, 1980. |

Internet/Computer ServiceThe library offers Roadrunner Internet service for patron use. A wireless network is also available. Use is governed by the Library’s Internet Usage Policy and our Computer Use Policies. Users are limited to one hour per day, and are encouraged to reserve time in advance. Users may print three black & white pages for free. Subsequent pages are $0.15 each. The Adult Services computers also offer color printing for $0.25 per page. There are no free pages when printing in color. The library computers also offer a wide range of application programs and games, includes Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. E-mail is available through web-based e-mail accounts (Hotmail, Yahoo etc.) |

Special CollectionsCompact discs, Videocassettes & DVDs; Young Adult fiction, non-fiction & paperbacks; Children’s paperbacks; Adult science fiction, western & romance paperbacks; Mysteries; Literacy readers; Career center; Large Print books; Automotive repair manuals; Books-on-Tape; Periodical indexes. The New York Times is available on microfilm from 1970 & the Binghamton Press from 1985. Some local newspapers are available on micro-film from the 1850′s. The library also subscribes to a selection of online databases. |
