  • Our children’s room contains a very large collection of books for readers and listeners of all ages. We also offer an extensive collection of audiobooks, DVDs, and more.
  • Computers are available with early literacy games; there are others for internet use by children.
  • Families can enjoy playing in our toy area or creating together at our coloring table.
  • We offer a variety of programs including story times for children birth through preschool, monthly book clubs for elementary students throughout the school year, special events for children and families, and a wide variety of summer programs for all ages.

  • Any one of our department’s four mastered librarians would be happy to answer your questions. Please come visit us!

  • Halloween Trick-or-Treating @ GFJ!
    Wednesday, October 31st @ 10am
    We’ll gather downstairs for some brief activities before trick-or-treating around the library. Don’t forget your costume! For toddler and preschool age children. No registration is required. Click here to view the flyer for more information.

  • Expectant Parent Story Time
    Thursday, November 15th @ 6:30pm
    It’s never to early to read to your baby! Join us for an informative session and light refreshments. No registration is required. Click here to view the flyer for more information!


  • Read with the Therapy Dogs
    Join us on the following Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm to read to these great therapy dogs!

  • Fall Story Times
    Our story times include age appropriate early literacy and preschool readiness activities. Registration is required and our programs are full. Check back for our winter session beginning in early January 2019! Click here to view our fall story time flyer with more information.

  • GFJ Readers & Jr. Readers Book Clubs
    Each month throughout the school year, the parent and child will read a book and then come to the library for activities, discussion, crafts, and snacks. GFJ Jr. Readers is for children in grades 1-3 and GFJ Readers is for children in grades 4-6. Registration is required and both book clubs are currently full.
