Summer 2020

Participants in our 2020 summer reading program can visit gfjlibraryny09.readsquared.com or download the free ReadSquared app to log minutes and complete missions.

Finishers of the children’s summer reading program can collect their prizes from August 10th – 26th!

Where to start:
Online program – Complete as many reading level badges as you can before collecting your prizes.
Paper packet – Fill in as many rows as you can before collecting your prizes.

Get your prizes!
Online program – We will enter you in the appropriate gift card raffles. You can then come in to choose your free book!
Paper packet – Bring your log sheet into the Children’s Room. We’ll award your virtual raffle tickets, and you can choose your free book!

Not ready to come in?
All participants can collect prizes curbside. Call the Children’s department at (607)757-5350 ext. 3 from one of the curbside spaces in our back parking lot. We will bring out three books for you to choose from and award your virtual raffle tickets!

The last day to pick up your prizes is August 26th.
Raffle winners will be chosen by September 4th.

Check out all that we have to offer!
  • Our children’s room contains a very large collection of books for readers and listeners of all ages. We also offer an extensive collection of audiobooks, DVDs, and more.
  • Computers are available with early literacy games; there are others for internet use by children.
  • Families can enjoy playing in our toy area or creating together at our coloring table.
  • We offer a variety of programs including story times for children birth through preschool, monthly book clubs for elementary students throughout the school year, special events for children and families, and a wide variety of summer programs for all ages.
  • Any one of our department’s four mastered librarians would be happy to answer your questions. Please come visit us!
