  • Our children’s room contains a very large collection of books for readers and listeners of all ages. We also offer an extensive collection of audiobooks, DVDs, and more.
  • Computers are available with early literacy games; there are others for internet use by children.
  • Families can enjoy playing in our toy area or creating together at our coloring table.
  • We offer a variety of programs including story times for children birth through preschool, monthly book clubs for elementary students throughout the school year, special events for children and families, and a wide variety of summer programs for all ages.
  • Find some great online activities on our Fun & Games page or look through pictures of past library events in our Photo Gallery.
  • Any one of our department’s four mastered librarians would be happy to answer your questions. Please come visit us!

Winter Story Times
Our story times include age appropriate early literacy and preschool readiness activities. Registration began on Wednesday, January 2nd. Check the calendar below for current availability.

  • Mother Goose Story Time (birth to age 2)
    Thursdays @ 9:30
    January 24 through March 14
  • Toddler Story Time (ages 2 to 3.5)
    Wednesdays @ 9:30 or 10:30am
    January 23 through March 13
  • Preschool Story Time (ages 3.5 to 5)
    Tuesdays at 10:00am
    January 22 through March 12

Read with the Therapy Dogs
Join us on these Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm to read to these great therapy dogs! No registration is required.

GFJ Readers & Jr. Readers Book Clubs
Each month throughout the school year, the parent and child will read a book and then come to the library for activities, discussion, crafts, and snacks. GFJ Jr. Readers is for children in grades 1-3 and GFJ Readers is for children in grades 4-6. Registration is required and both book clubs are currently full.
