There are many reasons why you should get a Four County Library System library card!

  • You can check out books, DVDs, music CDs, audio book CDs and more
  • You can renew and request library items online, from your home or office computer
  • You can check you library account online, including items you have reserved, items you have checked out, and due dates
  • You can access premier databases provided by our library, the Four County Library System and by New York State
  • You need a library card to use our public access computers
Your library card is a great deal – it’s free!

(for residents of Broome, Delaware, Chenango, and Otsego counties.  Other area residents can get a card for just a $50.00 per family annual fee).

To get a library card you must:

  • Be a resident of (or own property in) Broome, Delaware, Chenango, or Otsego counties and show proof of address or real property tax payment
  • Have parental approval if under age thirteen
  • Youngsters must be able to sign their first and last name
  • Complete an Application Form (also available at the library) and return it to the Circulation Desk along with ID and proof of address.  Non-residents of the Four County Library System (Broome, Delaware, Chenango & Otsego counties) must also complete the Non-Resident Information Form.  Information on our borrowing and computer policies is available on our About Us page.  (Adobe Reader required to view forms).
  • Acceptable forms of ID include: Drivers license/Non-drivers ID; posted mail delivered to your address; utility bill; rent receipt; paycheck receipt; checkbook.
