How do I join a class?
Visit screenleap.com/gfj_techcenter at the time of the class and join the room. You can also find this link on the Tech Center webpage near the listing of classes. You will be asked to enter your name and email address, and will be given a prompt to enable audio. You’ll have to click on the green “Yes, listen” button in order to hear the instructor as they narrate the presentation. You will need to use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari) in order to watch the presentation and use the chat window to type questions.

What are the run-times for the classes?
These vary from class to class. Some are an hour and others an hour and a half.

Do I need special software to view on my computer or tablet?
No. Ask questions via the chat window as needed. But if you’d just like to sit back and watch the presentation, you can do that too.

How will I be able to communicate with the teacher? Do I need a device with a microphone?
You can communicate with the teacher via a chat screen that will appear on the right-hand side of the presentation window. It can be closed and opened by clicking on the arrow in the upper corner.

How do I use the chat feature?
To ask a question, all you need to do is click inside of the text box at the bottom of the chat screen, type your question and then click “enter” or “return” on your keyboard. To hide the chat window, you can click on the arrow in the upper right corner of the chat screen. A white button labeled “Chat” will then appear in the middle-right of the window. This is what you will click to open up the chat window if you need it again.
