Summer Reading Program: “Unearth a Story”
Join our Adult Summer Reading Program and explore new stories, authors, and genres all summer long! Patrons can participate by logging their reading through READsquared or by picking up paper reading challenges at the library.
Register for Summer Reading starting June 22ndWhether you prefer digital tracking or a physical log, there’s a way for everyone to take part in the adventure.

- Program Runs: June 22 – September 5
- How to Participate: Log reading in READsquared or complete paper challenge logs at the library
- Prizes: Completed challenges earn entries into prize drawings
- Prize Drawings: Tuesday, September 7

GFJ Library Adult Summer Programs 2026
Explore book clubs, movies, technology classes, archaeology, crafts, trivia, and more all summer long. These projects are funded by Your Friends of the George F. Johnson Memorial Library, Visions Federal Credit Union, Wegmans, and the Earlville Opera House’s Arts in the Community Grants Program, made possible by the NYS Legislature with support of the Office of the Governor, and administered by the New York State Council on the Arts. Additional support for the Broome ACG Program is graciously provided by the Stewart W. and Willma C. Hoyt Foundation, Inc. Thank you to Binghamton University, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and WSKG for additional support. Some programs require registration.
