Summer Reading 2021

Our Summer Reading Club for children birth through those entering grade 6 is underway! Stop at the library for a paper reading log or visit to participate virtually. Everyone who completes the program will receive a free book and be entered in raffles for gift certificates. The more you read, the greater your chances of winning!

  • Street Art with Eric Maruscak – Our Street Art programs will return with sessions for kids on July 21 & August 11. Registration is required using the calendar below. Space is limited!
  • Take & Make Crafts – Stop by the children’s room to pick up our current take and make craft or check our Facebook page for more details!
  • Virtual Story Times – Each includes a story, an activity and more! Subscribe to be notified when a new story time is released.
  • GFJ Library’s YouTube Channel – Lots of fun, original videos for kids including our Share a Story series, Crafternoon videos, and the Basic Drawing with Brooke class.

Please note that some of our in-person offerings are currently unavailable due to COVID-19 safety restrictions.

  • Our children’s room contains a very large collection of books for readers and listeners of all ages. We also offer an extensive collection of audiobooks, DVDs, and more.
  • Computers are available with early literacy games; there are others for internet use by children.
  • Families can enjoy playing in our toy area or creating together at our coloring table.
  • We offer a variety of programs including story times for children birth through preschool, monthly book clubs for elementary students throughout the school year, special events for children and families, and a wide variety of summer programs for all ages.
  • Any one of our department’s four mastered librarians would be happy to answer your questions. Please come visit us!
