Fall @ GFJ!

  • Fall Story Times – We’re offering Mother Goose and Preschool story time sessions this fall! Take a look at our story time flyer for more info or click on a story time in our calendar to register. (There will be no story times the week of October 31st.)
    • Mother Goose Story Time – Wednesdays @ 10am from 10/5 through 11/16 – for children birth to age 2 and their caregiver
    • Preschool Story Time – Thursdays @ 10am from 10/6 through 11/17 – for children ages 3 to 5 and their caregiver
  • Fall Craft Day – Children of all ages can join us on Saturday, October 15 from 11am-1pm to make some fun, fall crafts! No registration is required. Take a look at the Fall Craft Day flyer for more info.
  • Read to a Therapy Dog – The Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dog group will be returning to the children’s room! Take a look at our therapy dog flyer for more info. Join us from 10am to noon on the following Saturdays:

    • December 3
    • December 17
  • Spooky Family Movie – Join us on Saturday, October 22 at 10am to watch “Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman!” No registration is required. Take a look at our family movie flyer for more information.
  • Book Clubs – Take a look at our book club flyer or click on a book club in our calendar to check availability.
    • GFJ Jr. Readers is for children in grades 1-3 and meets on the first Monday of each month beginning on 10/3.
    • GFJ Readers is for children in grades 4-6 and meets on the fourth Monday of each month beginning on 9/26.

  • Take & Make Crafts – Stop by the children’s room to pick up our current take & make craft!
  • We have a very large collection of books for readers and listeners of all ages. We also offer an extensive collection of audiobooks, DVDs, and more.
  • Computers are available with early literacy games; there are others for internet use by children.
  • We offer a variety of programs such as story times for children birth through preschool, monthly book clubs for elementary students throughout the school year, special events for children and families, and a wide variety of summer programs for all ages. We also have virtual programs available when in-person programming is not available.
  • Any one of our department’s four mastered librarians would be happy to answer your questions. Please come visit us!
