The Library has just received notice from Assemblywoman Lupardo’s office that we have been awarded $6,496 under the New York State Public Library Construction grant program to install a much-needed heating/cooling unit in our staff area.  Much thanks to the Assemblywoman for her continued and long-standing support of public libraries.

GFJ is crazy with quilts again this summer. Quilter Carol Bunnell has donated her latest creation Baltimore Fantasy” (pictured) to this year’s quilt raffle. Tickets are a dollar each of 6 for 5. The library is looking for a part-time employee to clean the library.  Duties include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, light snow shoveling.  Fifteen to nineteen hours per week with alternating Saturdays, early morning shifts 6 to 10 AM or 7 to 11 AM.  Pay is $8.50 per hour.  Position is 3-month temporary, possible permanent appointment.  Applications…
