Teen Book Box Summer 2025 Subscription:

Sign up for a monthly personalized book box, complete with 2 library books and free swag! Starting June 1st, register and fill out the reading interest form here. Our YA librarian will use the form to handpick two library books to meet your reading interests, and you’ll get a variety of themed goodies to keep! Teen Book Club

Summer Media Making with WSKG

7/9, 7/10, 7/16 & 7/17 from 2 – 3:30pm – Learn how to create audio and video, collaborate, and amplify your voice by developing (script, storyboard, film) and producing short-form videos about library spaces that are important to you! WSKG Youth Voices will work with you to create a finished media project over the course of two weeks. Teen D&D Mini-Campaign

7/18, 7/25 @ 8/1 from 12:30 – 4:30 pm – Join us for a three-session-long Dungeons & Dragons campaign this summer! Whether you’re new or a seasoned player, our DMs will guide you through an exciting adventure. Bring a Level 3 character; if you don’t have one or don’t know how to create one, our DMs will help you! Boba Paint & Sip

7/11 @ 2 pm – Join Emily from Artistry by Emily for a monochromatic paint and sip event! First, we’ll make our own boba, and then we’ll explore monochromatic color theory to create beautiful paintings! All materials provided. Registration is required gfjlibrary.libcal.com/event/14421588.


Rice Fantasy Maps

8/8 @ 2 pm – Create a whole world for your next book, D&D game, or your wall! We’ll be following the latest trend of pouring rice onto watercolor paper to create magical maps in the style of Hyrule, Narnia, Middle Earth, and more. Registration is required at gfjlibrary.libcal.com/event/14421592.


Teen Street Art

7/23 @ 6 pm – Learn how to create and scale your own drawings using chalk on the library’s concourse with artist Eric Maruscak! All levels of ability welcome – Eric is happy to work with you or for you to work alone if you wish. Registration is required at gfjlibrary.libcal.com/event/14421594.
