The Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network will host a presentation on the NY State of Health Marketplace and Navigator program on Tuesday, February 11 at 5:00 PM at our library. This is a chance for uninsured individuals under the age of 65 to learn more about the new health insurance options available through the Marketplace. Topics covered will include: Role of the Navigator, Qualified Health Plans (10 Essential benefits), Tax Credits & Subsidies. This informational session is free and open to the public. Follow-up sessions will be held to assist people in signing-up for insurance. The follow-up sessions will be Feb 19 and 26 & March 17 and 31, from 9 AM till 4 PM. Primary responsibilities are re-shelving books, DVD’s etc., opening and closing the library, running errands, other duties as assigned. 15-19 hours per week, $8.00 per hour increasing to $9.00 on December 31, 2014. There will be a special meeting of the library trustees on Wednesday, June 8 from 7 till 8:45 P.M. in the Scott (basement) Meeting Room. The trustees will be interviewing applicants for several vacant seats.
The library funding proposition will be Proposition Number 4 on this year’s Town of Union ballot. Please remember to vote on November 4. If you’re not registered to vote you can still do so.
