The library has resumed normal hours and will reopen at 9 A.M. on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The Oct. 30 Friends of the Library book review has been cancelled. There will be no preschool storytime today, because the UE schools are closed.
Public Internet service at the GFJ Library will be down on Tuesday October 14 due to a scheduled upgrade. The library’s Wi-Fi network will not be affected.
Despite a miserable economy, the March 15, 2010 issue of Library Journal reports that 84% of library funding referenda passed in 2009. For New York State, the figure was 100%.
