This was the first year of our Adult Summer Reading Club. We had 40 participants and you read over 500 books!!! Congratulations to our contest winners: Tracy &  Sarah! Hope you enjoyed the club, next year we will try and add some programming!!! See you next summer!

You can search many old newspapers by using the “Chronicling of America” site hosted by the Library of Congress.  Many old Endicott-area newspapers can be searched at via this link.  Warning – it’s addicting!

The library will be closed on Saturdays from June 26 through September 4.  We will reopen for Saturdays on September 11.  The Broome County Public Library (185 Court St., Binghamton) is open from 9 AM till 5 PM on Saturdays throughout the summer.

Thanks to all library supporters and especially to those who took time to sign or to carry GFJ’s funding petition. Thanks to you we surpassed our goal and the petitions have been submitted to the Town of Union for certification. This clears the way for the community to vote on the first increase in funding…
