Construction Has Begun

The American Library Association has released its annual report on America’s libraries.

Just a reminder that the library will be closed on Friday, January 25th due to the replacement of our heating and air conditioning system. We plan to reopen at 9:00am on Saturday 1/26. However, please call or check the website before visiting as a delay in construction could prevent our opening on this day.

As of December 1, 2014 you can pay your library fines with a credit card, using your online account (credit card payments cannot be accepted at the library’s Circulation Desk).  Please see our flier explain the process.

The U.S. Census Bureau is hiring census takers at $13 per hour.  Information & practice tests forms are available at our library.

GFJ, along with Your Home Public Library in Johnson City, have put together a couple short surveys to get your feedback about how we’re doing. Your input is vital as we work to tailor or collection, programs, and services to the wants & needs of the community. Library Survey #2 (10 questions)

Main floor restrooms will be undergoing renovation and unavailable from December 13 until well into January.  A unisex restroom will be available on the second floor.  Facilities are also available at the Municipal and Police buildings, across the street from the library.  Access to the adult audiovisual collection will also be limited during the week…
