Longtime GFJ employee Jim “Par” Panella passed away suddenly this week. His buddy “Roxy”, a familiar face at the library, came by for a visit today. Roxy is now living with Jim’s sister-in-law. Everyone at GFJ deeply misses them both.
We are delighted to announce that Amazon’s “Kindle” e-reader can now be used to read books downloaded from GFJ’s “Overdrive” service. Click on the “Download Overdrive” icon at www.gfjlibrary.org and start reading. The collection is growing at a rate of about 40 titles per month.
GFJ’s Digital Archives has been extended to include The Endicott Daily Bulletin newspaper through June 1940. This extends our newspaper coverage from as early as 1855, in searchable format. Access them via the link on our home page.
