The library funding proposition will be Proposition Number 4 on this year’s Town of Union ballot. Please remember to vote on November 4. If you’re not registered to vote you can still do so. There will be a special meeting of the GFJ Library Board of Trustees on Wednesday, January 11 at 6:30 PM to interview board candidates. The regular January 19 monthly meeting will begin at 6:30 instead of 7:00 in order to interview another candidate. The regular meeting on the 19th will follow immediately at 7 PM.
Our recent software upgrade is apparently blocking patrons from using our Overdrive (Download Zone) e-book/audiobook service. We have been informed that the problem should be resolved by tomorrow (Saturday, June 27) and regret the inconvenience.

This is the Johnson Rose. George F. had roses growing on his property (which is where the library stands now). One day he told his gardner to get rid of them. The gardner took them home and replanted them. Or so the story goes… This one was donated back to the library a few years…
