The new children’s room carpet has been installed! We are working to get everything back into place. The children’s room will reopen tomorrow, Thursday 4/30 at 9:00 AM. GFJ is pleased to announce that Mango Languages is now available to its patrons. Mango is a robust, interactive online foreign language-learning suite covering more than sixty languages (including Pirate!). The library will be closed on Saturdays from June 26 through September 4.  We will reopen for Saturdays on September 11.  The Broome County Public Library (185 Court St., Binghamton) is open from 9 AM till 5 PM on Saturdays throughout the summer.

Author Anne Crowley will give a talk on her book “The Nightingale Sings” on Saturday, February 11 at 1 PM in the library’s Scott (basement) meeting room.  The book is the compelling true story of one woman’s courage, determination, and triumph over tragedy.
