Natalie Dolan of the U.S. Post Office will present a free class on Thursday, September 15 from 2 – 3:30 P.M. in the Scott Room. Also covered will be how to choose the best shipping options. The library is accepting applications for a part-time Library Clerk position. Some weekend and evening hours, pay is $8.45 an hour, 15-19 hours per week. The position is temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent. Applications are available at the library and will be accepted through Saturday, January 28.
Our recent software upgrade is apparently blocking patrons from using our Overdrive (Download Zone) e-book/audiobook service. We have been informed that the problem should be resolved by tomorrow (Saturday, June 27) and regret the inconvenience.
This year’s raffle quilt is on display: “French Romance” by quilt artists Carol Bunnell and Sandy Minehan. Tickets are a dollar apiece or six for five dollars and proceeds go to support children’s programs here at GFJ. The drawing will be held September 11. Other quilts, some for sale, will be on display soon.

Longtime GFJ employee Jim “Par” Panella passed away suddenly this week. His buddy “Roxy”, a familiar face at the library, came by for a visit today. Roxy is now living with Jim’s sister-in-law. Everyone at GFJ deeply misses them both.
