The 14th annual Library Quilt Raffle is under way. This year’s raffle quilt, titled “Redwork Sue” is once again crafted by local artist Carol Bunnell. The quilt is on display at the library, with tickets available at the Information Desk. The drawing will be September 11, with proceeds benefitting the library’s children’s services.
The Library Trustees Association of New York State is featuring GFJ on their website. This comes after Merle Newberry was chosen as the winner of the Velma K. Moore Award. Check out this great feature and the accompanying photos at librarytrustees.org.
The library will be closed today (Wednesday, February 5, 2014) due to the weather.

The library will be closed on Monday, May 31 in honor of Memorial Day. We will reopen Tuesday, June 1 @ 9:00 AM. Stop in to get info on our many summer programs!
GFJ needs your help! Along with the Your Home Public Library (Johnson City) we have not received an increase in funding since 2008. We hope to place a proposition on this November’s ballot seeking an increase designed to fund the libraries for another four years. But first we need to collect some 2,000 petition signatures. …
